I have a BFA in Painting from UMass Amherst. After school I worked in a silkscreen print shop in Northampton — running presses, handling production, working the counter with customers coming in off the street with ideas they needed help realizing. I spent summers on paint crews when I first moved to Boston and genuinely loved it. Then I spent fifteen years in technology, leading creative teams and directing brand and web work for companies across the industry.
Through all of it, I kept painting — for family, for friends, for my parents' adult day center whenever a space needed freshening. It was never a side thing. It was just always there.
What pulled me toward doing this full time was simpler than I expected: I wanted to help people love the spaces they live in. Not in the abstract — in the actual, specific, this-room-in-your-house way. The color that finally feels right in morning light. The trim that makes the whole thing land. The corner nobody else would bother with, done properly.
There's a particular satisfaction in that kind of work that I'd been missing. Getting the details right. Seeing a space transform. Leaving somewhere better than you found it, and knowing the person who lives there will feel it every day.
